Ashley + Matt

Matt and Ashley were married in Raleigh, NC at The Pavilion at Angus Barn earlier this year.  I had the opportunity to film this one by myself.  Ashley and Matt did a first look prior to the ceremony that made the day flow very well especially without having a 2nd cinematographer there with me to help capture those timeless moments.  The ceremony setting was outside, with a beautiful lake in the background, and it was HOT!  I cannot say enough about how positive the experience was to work alongside Kellie Kano and can’t wait to work with her again.  Enjoy the wedding film!

Ashley Harris - Keith - Thank you so much! The highlights video is amazing and I can't wait to share it with friends & family, especially those who weren't able to attend. We look forward to seeing the full DVD, too! You're the best!July 2, 2010 - 12:40 pm

Abbey + Adam

Abbey and Adam were full of personality from the first time we met until the wedding day.  When hearing the story of how these two met, there was an uncertainty about which of their favorite local “watering holes” that they first crossed paths, but the two definitely have a special connection that you can see through the smiles on both of their faces.  The ceremony took place at First United Methodist Church in uptown Charlotte, NC and the reception was held a few blocks away at the Mint Museum.  We had a blast!

Ashley + Kevin

Ashley and Kevin drove in to Charlotte from Virginia to meet our team and we had the opportunity to hang out with them and really spend some time with these guys getting to know them prior to the Wedding Day.

Kevin is straight and to the point, while Ashley, has the personality to persuade people with a smile!  For that reason, it is no surprise that Kevin is a police officer and Ashley is in sales.  These two just seem to be perfect for each other in every way and we were honored that they chose us to be their cinematographer.

The couple was married at the Oak Ridge Estate in Arrington, VA, which is a beautiful venue with too many beautiful places to capture.  The drive up was tough, as we faced rain and cloudy weather and were a little bummed that the day would turn out rainy.  We knew that the place would offer so many beautiful shots and just hoped that the rain would hold off until the ceremony was complete.  Luckily the rain held out and the day turned out to be perfect.

Congratulations again Ashley and Kevin!  We hope that you enjoy your Wedding Film.

Lilly + David

When I arrived to the Bride’s hotel room the morning of the wedding, she had just started her makeup along with the mother of the groom and several of the bridesmaids.  Lilly sat calmly facing a large window that overlooked the Charlotte skyline as the makeup was applied and you could read the excitement on her face as she prepared for her Wedding.  The conversation among the family members and the bridesmaids was full of laughter from the beginning, and that didn’t seem to change for the remainder of the day.

The Ceremony and Reception took place at the Ritz Carlton in uptown Charlotte and was by far one of our favorite Weddings from 2009.  It wasn’t the  venue, the perfectly ornate decor, the well planned event, or the creative photography that made it one of our favorites.  Although those factors helped, it was the couples’ personality that really made this day a great one for us.  From day one, these two were a pleasure to work with and always kept the mood light and entertaining.  You could tell that they were truly happy together every second of the day.  It was with much anticipation that we started the shoot on the day of the Wedding and it definitely exceeded any expectations that I had.

Kim McIlwaine of The Bride’s Choice was the wedding coordinator for the day and every second seemed to flow smoothly as a result of the months of  preparation that went into the event.  Jeremy Igo was the Wedding photographer and is always a blast to work with.  I would definitely have to say that Jeremy is one of the best professionals in the business, as well as Kim McIlwaine from the Bride’s Choice, and Chelish Moore who did the floral design and decor.  I could not have chosen a better group of professionals to work with and cannot wait to work with them again.  Thanks again to Jeremy for providing us with some photos for the DVD Design!

To Lilly and David, thanks again for letting us film your Wedding!  I hope that you enjoy your Wedding film and I wish you two nothing but the best.

Lilly Jayne DuPuy - If only I could put into words what you somehow put together on film... We’re forever grateful that you guys were in charge of our videography. Our only regret is that you didn’t put down your cameras and enjoy a few shots at the bar with us! Guess you’ll just have to be there when we renew our vows and celebrate again. Hiring you and your team was ABSOLUTELY one of the BEST decisions I made about our wedding! Every time I watch our DVD—and trust me, it’s often :)—I laugh and cry and cheer and feel all the wonderful emotions I felt on our wedding day all over again. (And yes, Dave smiles at me getting all sappy and of course mimics “excellent” every chance he gets! Classic.) Thank YOU for giving us and our families such a beautiful and invaluable memory of our wedding day.May 11, 2010 - 12:28 pm

Megan + Nick

From meeting at a local coffee shop to their Wedding Day, Megan + Nick could not be a more perfectly matched couple.

What a great couple and a great day for us at KA Studios.  From the minute we started the interviews in studio to the minute we left the reception, we had a blast.  Greek Weddings are always so much fun and full of so much energy at the Reception, not to mention again we had an opportunity to work with some of the best Wedding Professionals in the area.  Thanks Nick and Megan for choosing us!  Enjoy your wedding film!

Brittney + Dallas

We met Brittney several years back when she was a bridesmaid in another wedding that we filmed. She contacted us about and year prior to the wedding and immediately we were excited to work with her. Brittney and Dallas are two of the most friendly down to earth people that you could ever meet. The first meeting with these two I knew that we were going to enjoy working with them and they both have something about their personalities that just draws people to them. The wedding ceremony took place at Mill Grove United Methodist Church and the reception was held at the Embassy Suites in Concord, NC. The photographer was Bruce Mayhill, and as always it was a blast to get to work with him again.  Brittney and Dallas thanks again for letting us be a part of your lives and your day!  Enjoy the Wedding Film!

Sadrita Davis - I had the honor of meeting Brittney approximately 2-years ago. I was immediately impressed by her intelligence, gracefulness, beauty, charm and wit (she has a great sense of humor). As she began to plan her wedding, her eyes would twinkle everytime she mentioned Dallas' name - including the time when he fell through the ceiling of their new home. LOL! Seeing her so happy always made my heart flutter with happiness for the two of them. Most people talk about true love; however, Brittney and Dallas are the epitomy of what it really is. From within the depths of my heart and soul, I wish them the absolute best that life and God has to offer. The BEST is yet to come. Do angels walk amongst us? Of course they do because 2-years ago I met one who will forever have a special place in my heart. CONGRATULATIONS Brittney and Dallas. 1 Corinthians 13: 4-7 Love is patient; love is kind; love is not envious or boastful or arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice in wrongdoing, but rejoices in the truth. It bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.February 2, 2010 - 12:38 pm

Julie + Tony

Let me start off by saying that we LOVE shooting in Asheville, NC! It is probably by far one of our favorite places to shoot in NC. This wedding took place at one of our favorites venues in Asheville, and has a very intimate feeling each wedding that we shoot there. The Ceremony/Reception were at “The Homewood” in Asheville, NC which is a beautiful building, with a ceremony setting that is like no other. The staff, the setting, the scenery is all just right to fit the mood of a perfect, intimate wedding day. Darr Conradson of Mountain Vows Wedding Ceremonies was the officiating minister of the day and is always positive and uplifting. The day of the wedding was overcast and we thought that we would end up in the rain. Luckily, the rain held off for us and we were able to get some really creative shots outdoors. We enjoyed working alongside Kristin and Aaron Byrum of Kristin Byrum Photography. If you are looking for an upbeat, fun, outgoing photographer, you should check these guys out. As far as the couple…Julie and Tony were very easy to work with. They were both extremely laid back and I have to say that we REALLY enjoyed picking out the music for this one. It was right up our alley! Thanks again guys for letting us be a part and we hope that you enjoyed your Wedding Film!

Joy + Fadi

Joy and Fadi were married on September 6, 2009 in Greenville, SC.  Pat and I loaded up the car and headed to SC knowing that this was going to be a great one!  The ceremony and reception both took place at Furman University’s campus.  The facilities were breathtaking as well as the landscaping.  Joy and Fadi were full of joy and laughter throughout the day and the bridesmaids were a blast to be around.  You may hear some of their audio somewhere in the highlights.  The photographer for the day was Sposa Bella Photography.  Enjoy!
